School Days, School Days...
Elementary school students can take advantage of special programs for gifted and talented students, as well as a computer lab, a full range of
music programs including band for fifth and sixth graders, and special programs such as Super Reader.
Beyond any academic program, Knightstown Elementary School
encourages parental involvement, and provides an environment that allows parents to build relationships with the faculty and staff.
Though small compared to urban and suburban schools, Knightstown High School gives students opportunities to excel. In
2000, 76 students graduated from Knightstown High School, with over $300,000.00 dollars given in scholarships.
A new chapter
has opened for Knightstown Junior/Senior
High School. Ground was broken in the Fall, 2001 for construction of a new
high school which graduated its first
class during the 2003-2004 school
year. The new Knightstown High
School includes state of the art facilities, a six hundred seat auditorium, and room for expansion.
And while Knightstown isn't a college town, many major universities
are less than an hour away, including Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Anderson University, Ball State University, Indiana University East, and Earlham College.
